Barbara Walters Tells The Kardashians They Have No Talent
The Kardashian Klan earned a spot in Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 special on ABC Wednesday night. It's not really that surprising since the family's had more headlines this year than ever before with Kim's wedding, Kris Jenner's facelift, Kim's divorce, and Kourtney's pregnancy. Yes, 2011 was quite a rollercoaster ride for the reality family and America couldn't help but climb aboard to watch the drama unravel. So I guess that qualifies all them as fascinating. But Walters wasn't going to let them off easy. In a sit-down with the famous family, the legendary journalist didn't hold back and immediately confronted Kim about her sex tape, asking if it turned out to be a good thing for her and her family in the long run. And in true Kardashian form, the reality star side-stepped the question with a vague response, saying, "I have made mistakes in my life, for sure," while failing to specify if the XXX film was one of those mistakes. But Mama Jenner was quick to chime in with a follow up response, reminding her daughter, "You learned a lot from that." The lesson being: yes, sex sells and is a great way to jump-start a career in the entertainment industry.
Additionally on Wednesday's special, Walters asked the Kardashians how they are able to maintain our attention without actually possessing any real talent (burn). She elaborated by saying, "You don't really act; you don't sing; you don't dance. You don't have any -- forgive me -- any talent!" This was a great question not only because it's absolutely hilarious, but also because it's so true. This family does absolutely nothing remarkable or talent worthy, yet we can't help but keep watching them. So what gives? Kim responded, explaining that despite their nonexistent gifted abilities, they still manage to be "very entertaining." She also remarked that there's more pressure on reality stars to "get people to fall in love with you for being you," so I guess that's supposed to qualify as their talent?
Regardless, the interview was totally worth it just to watch Walters so blatantly insult the family members to their faces. If you haven't already seen it, click here to watch it. You won't be disappointed!
Celebrities React To The 2012 Golden Globe Awards Nominations
Nominations for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced early this morning, and The Artist led the way with six nominations, and was followed closely by The Descendants and The Help, who both earned five nods each. On the television side, Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family (who swept the Emmys board this past year) were among the top favorites. The recognition came as a surprise to some of the nominees, who never expected such an honor, but they're definitely not complaining. In fact, they're exceedingly grateful. After hearing the nominees, Seth Rogen -- whose film 50/50 is up for Best Comedy Film -- told The Hollywood Reporter "The fact that any of us are getting nominated for anything is ridiculous, but it's really exciting." Additionally he stated, "I hope it makes people who were afraid to see the movie realize that it is in fact a comedy."
Angelina Jolie -- whose film In the Land of Blood and Honey was nominated in the Best Foreign Film category -- reacted to the news, saying, "I am grateful that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is honoring our film. This was a true collaboration and I am forever indebted to our cast and crew, who experienced their own personal tragedies in the Bosnian War and gave me an authentic perspective into the conflict. This nomination is a tribute to the collective talent and passion of this extraordinary cast."
Kelsey Grammer was more than happy to receive a nom for Best Actor in a TV Drama Series for his role in Boss. Grammer stated, "It is rewarding, not only to receive personal recognition from the HFPA, but to see that those who worked so hard and tirelessly to make Boss a reality were also recognized."
Even legendary director Martin Scorsese had a few things to say about his Best Director nomination for the film Hugo, saying, "Making Hugo was an extraordinary experience for me. It gave me a chance to work in 3D, which I've wanted to do since I was young; it allowed me to make a child's adventure, the type of picture that I loved when I was young; and it provided an occasion to pay tribute to one of the cinema's greatest pioneers, Georges Méliès. Given the support they've provided to The Film Foundation in our efforts to restore many films over the years, the recognition of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this particular picture has a very special meaning for me."

Alyson Hannigan Is Pregnant!
So remember this one time a few months back when Alyson Hannigan adamantly dismissed all those pregnancy rumors after a photographer caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a tiny baby bump? Hannigan chalked the bulge up to carnival food, but recent reports reveal that wasn't the case at all. It turns out she was holding out on us and actually does have a small child growing inside of her. How do we know? The actress' rep confirmed the exciting news to US Weekly, assuring us that a little bundle of joy is well on its way. This will be the starlet's second child with her husband of eight years, Alexis Denisof. The pair already share a two-year-old daughter, Satyana, but are eager to add another addition to their growing family. A source close to the couple told the magazine, "Alyson is thrilled to be pregnant! She's been wearing baggy clothes to cover the baby bump."
Congratulations to the soon-to-be-parents! And since it's almost Christmas, I forgive you for keeping it such a secret.
Britney Spears IS Engaged to Jason Trawick
Update: It's confirmed! Britney and Jason are officially engaged. People reports Jason proposed last night in Los Angeles at his birthday party. A witness said, "He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night." The details on the ring are sparse, but we do know it was made by famed celebrity jewelry designer, Neil Lane.Earlier: Even though TMZ reported Britney Spears' boyfriend, Jason Trawick, was planning on proposing to the pop star tonight, it seems like Trawick popped the question a little earlier than it was anticipated because Britney just posted a message to her Facebook page that reads, "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I have been waiting for. Can't wait to show you. SO SO SO excited!!!!! Xxo." The outlet followed up with the story by talking to various sources close to the couple, who said Trawick planned a "MASSIVE" dinner tonight at the Chocolate Lounge in the Sugar Factory at the Paris Hotel, where there will be chocolate fondue and all the men will get to indulge in chocolate truffle cigars. Later, the couple plans to head to the Chateau Nightclub to continue celebrating the occasion.
Radar Online recently gave us some insight as to what the engagement ring looks like, and talked to people who said Trawick kept things simple. One person said, "Don't expect anything too massive or obnoxious. This ring will be classy and under 4-carats." Another added, "She isn't going to be disappointed." If the news is true, congratulations to the happy couple!

Hope Dworaczyk on Lindsay Lohan Playboy Pics: WEAK!
Make no bones about it, Lindsay Lohan's nude Playboy spread does not live up to all the hype, according to 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk.
"I saw that spread ... and I was not impressed," Hope told TMZ.
"I just feel like if I would have known I was doing a Playboy shoot, I would have worked out more maybe," adds Dworaczyk, who first posed in 2009. OUCH!
Dworaczyk, who had NBA star Jason Kidd's baby, has a point as well. The much touted ballyhooed "boobs, ass, and vadge" Lindsay Lohan pictures are sort of a letdown.
There is no actual vadge of courage first of all, and they photoshopped the crap out of LiLo to the point where her freckles and "fiery" features are totally gone.
At least in the case of Hope Dworaczyk, she was wearing body paint, but still resembled herself in the mag. With Lohan, it's basically a faux version of herself.
Finally, she ALREADY POSED AS MARILYN MONROE for New York Magazine in 2008, in a spread that was both more revealing and sexier. Okay, rant over.
Kris Humphries: Give Me a Raise, Or...
Kris Humphries is once again threatening Kim Kardashian with the "S" word. No, not sex tape. She'd be all about that.
Instead, Star Magazine claims the NBA free agent - who is still without a team - is demanding his episodic salary gets bumped from $28,500 per week to $50,000. Otherwise, he will file a lawsuit against E!.
"Kris is freaking out about his finances, even though the NBA lockout has ended," an insider says. "After all, it's his storyline that is making the show a success this season!"
Reportedly, Kardashian has control over Kourtney & Kim Take New York's content and has gone out of her way to portray herself as the victim in this divorce, something her ex-husband is far from pleased about, considering he thinks the entire marriage was a deception on Kim's part.
"He was nothing more than a disposable groom, used for ratings," the source adds. "He feels he deserves some type of compensation."
Kim, meanwhile, said last night that she isn't currently on the lookout for love. But you never know when a publicist will tell you it's time time to pretend again like you found it.

IMAX President Greg Foster Talks 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol'
Greg Foster: It's being referred to as previews. In IMAX, it's coming out five days early in the U.S. and Canada. In other territories, it's coming out a variety of days early depending on the market, and the opening date internationally.
PD: What does the advanced release of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol mean for IMAX? Just how different is this from anything you have done before?
GF: Well, we certainly have never done anything like this before in the U.S. We actually have done it on a test case basis in several international markets, including Russia, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, etcetera. And it has worked quite well. Our theatre network is large enough to make a positive marketing and financial impact on the film. The 300 IMAX theatres that will open on the 16th will act as an extra boost of marketing energy for the film and theaters that are going to get the movie five days later on the 21st. And once the film opens wide on our entire 500 screen network, those theatres will only further compliment the film's overall release. It' s a "win/win" scenario. It only really works if you're working on a film that is legitimately unique and differentiated, like Mission: Impossible is, with IMAX. This is not a plug-and-play movie. We have been involved in the design and making of this movie with the filmmakers for the last two years. So, about thirty minutes of the film is shot with our cameras. Brad Bird is a complete IMAX showman. You met him in ShoWest, so you know.
PD: It's going to be in IMAX first. So, if people want to see this movie early, they have got to come to IMAX. That's huge for your company, and doesn't it speak to the exclusivity, value and prestige of the format?
GF: It is. It's obviously a thing that we are very happy about. We've been working extremely hard on making this happen. Again, it's not a coincidence that it's happening on this particular movie. With that said, it's the first time it has happened in the U.S., and we're going to see how it goes. We're a part of the exhibition/distribution community. We're looking to bring people in to see the movie. And if we succeed and everyone else doesn't, we still lose. Our partners are exhibitors. So, 300 of these screens are going to have the IMAX version on December 16th. But we want the movie to be incredibly successful on December 21st everywhere. We want it to have strong legs, and play for weeks and weeks—not only in our theaters, but in other theaters as well. I won't pretend that it's not a really terrific thing for us, but at the same time, we hope that we are a small piece of Mission Impossible's huge success.
PD: That's very well put. And also, I would imagine that putting the movie's best foot forward by going out in IMAX will prime and excite audiences to see it in the regular format as well. So, it seems like a mutually beneficial situation.
GF: It's almost as if it's a limited release. You have a movie, and obviously Mission: Impossible is a completely different type of movie, but like The King's Speech. Or Midnight in Paris. And it comes out in a limited number of locations. The word of mouth builds. Everyone realizes, "Hey, this is a terrific movie." And then it starts widening its release, and they cast a much bigger net. Because the ambassadors who saw the movie early have fed their constituency of other moviegoers, and said, "Hey, I saw this movie, you should really check it out." So, I hope that, and expect that, this is what will happen on December 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th in IMAX. People will see the movie, have great things to say about it, and pass it on.
PD: I think, like you said, it's good for everybody, but I think you may get some people—are there people out there who have never been to an IMAX presentation?
GF: Sure.
PD: [Will they] come to this and see the light in terms of how great that experience is?
GF: When we open a movie, we usually represent somewhere between 1% and 2% of the number of screens playing the film. As you know, we usually do somewhere between 10% and 15% of the opening weekend box office, which means that somewhere between 85% and 90% of the opening weekend box office isn't coming from IMAX. And there are still people who haven't been to an IMAX show. There are not any big cities that don't have IMAX, but there are some big towns that don't have IMAX. And so, we grow our network through our digital projection system and our expansion. This will be the widest release we've ever had, and hopefully three or four months from now we'll have an even wider release. And the biggest one will likely be in 2012 as we have several huge movies on our slate. It will be The Dark Knight Rises, and it will be The Hobbit, the new Spider-Man, etc. But the point I'm making is, as we begin to expand into various markets, markets that you wouldn't have thought of necessarily as IMAX locations five years ago, we're now finding tremendous demand for our premium experience. For instance, we have one theater that opened less than a year ago in Wichita, Kansas. It's a Warren Theatre. Bill Warren is the exhibitor. It has been open since Tron: Legacy, less than a year ago. And I'm not kidding you: the IMAX screen has done approximately $3 million in ten months. One screen!
PD: To quote Keanu Reeves, "Whoa."
GF: This one location. When a movie plays there that is IMAX, that movie complex usually ends up being in the top twenty in the country.
PD: Why is that? Why there?
GF: Because Bill Warren gets it and is a showman like you can't believe. It's got huge IMAX signage. But more importantly, he took a market that really doesn't have a lot of destination-based movie theaters, and made this the epicenter of movie-going in Wichita. So, there was an example that Phil Groves, our global head of distribution, found the other day that I thought was really telling and interesting. Thor and Captain America had very similar opening weekends, and similar ultimate grosses. Both came out in the summer; one in the beginning of the season and one at the end. The difference between the two movies: one was in IMAX (Thor), one wasn't (Captain America). When Thor came out in Wichita, that complex was in the top fifty. I don't remember the exact number, but it was in the top fifty. When Captain America came out in July—again, about the same box office opening weekend as Thor—four hundred something was its ranking. So, this guy had figured out, this is the way to become the destination of movie-going in smaller markets. And that is something that we're focused on. I presume you haven't seen the 17 ½ minutes of Mission: Impossible footage yet?
PD: No.
GF: Just wait until you see it.
PD: I saw the initial trailer. It blew me away.
GF: Just wait until you see this footage. You'll understand what all the fuss is about. It's something special.
PD: Now, can you talk about something that's sort of interesting to me? Brad Bird seems like a very unique choice for this. Why Brad Bird? When you think about it, it makes brilliant sense. But on the face of it, you go, "This guy is an animation director." How does his sensibility bring something unique to Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol? How does that translate on the giant IMAX screen?
GF: Well, he is a major IMAX maniac. Brad is a big believer in the theatrical experience. He's not a guy who believes that movies should come out on television screens at the same time as they come out theatrically. He is from the old school in that when he designs and makes a movie, he makes it for those big, giant show palaces that we all grew up going to. I remember where I was when I saw Star Wars. I remember where I was when I saw The Lord of the Rings for the first time. That's how Brad Bird's mind works. He's all about this big, giant experience for a big, giant movie. And so, when he was approached to do this film by J.J., Bryan, Tom and Paramount, he did so under the auspices of not wanting to make a fourth version of Mission: Impossible that isn't something unique and special. He had a vision for this movie. And everything about this movie is big. They go to the tallest building in the world. It's the biggest shutdown of the Interpol, basically, ever. Ghost Protocol and the CIA. It is shot with our cameras—the biggest cameras out there. It's on our screens. And he's very focused on film. He didn't shoot the movie digitally; he shot it with film cameras. So, Brad came to it with an approach of, "I want to do this. I want to make a cool, hip, fresh movie, but I want to make it the old fashioned way." So, that worked! The good news is that it's with Paramount, and we love working with them. Paramount has just been an amazing partner, and has embraced this unique release strategy in IMAX, and we're thrilled by that.

Rima Fakih, Former Miss USA, Arrested For DUI
Former Miss USA Rima Fakih got arrested for DUI the other night.
The 26-year-old, who became the first Miss USA of Arabian descent when she captured the crown in 2010, then managed to keep it despite controversy over some pole dancing pics, faces drunken driving charges after a weekend bust in Highland Park, Mich.
Rima Fakih Tweeted Saturday: "Let's clear things up now. ... I'm NOT in Michigan and I'm NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih." But ... it sort of looks like that was the right Fakih.
The post has since been removed, and on Sunday her attorney Doraid Elder confirmed the arrest, noting that her record "has not a single blemish," other than this and that Rima is "very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she's in."
Police offered no additional details of the arrest.
The stunning beauty queen appeared to be in good spirits today however, Tweeting: "A long run always gets me energized! Its time to make football Sunday food."
Tameka Foster Demands Drug Test for Usher
Tameka Foster is intent on proving that Usher is an unfit father.
The singer's ex-wife filed papers in court last week that allege a number of indiscretions by Usher, most of them based on the way he has treated Tameka, not the way he has been toward his two sons.
But now Foster is raising the accusatory ante, demanding a judge force Usher to take a drug test ASAP because she believes he's been popping pills around the pair's children. Usher has refused to take this bait so far, deeming his ex's claims to be "frivolous and unfounded," merely meant to "harass and embarrass" the artist.
As a result, lawyers are now involved and Tameka's side is urging the legal system to act quickly, lest Usher have the chance to "cleanse" his body of all foreign substances.
We'll see how this turns out, but right now it's clear Usher did the right thing by cleaning his life of Tameka, isn't it?
Donald Trump to Moderate Republican Debate
As if the Republican presidential race didn't already feel like a a reality show, Donald Trump is pairing up with conservative magazine and website Newsmax to moderate a presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 27.
"Our readers and the grassroots really love Trump," said Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy.
That they do, hilariously. From an entertainment standpoint, can you not?
Greatest. Presidential. Debate. Ever.
Trump's role in the debate, which will be broadcast on the cable network Ion Television, marks another memorable moment in a primary season that has been an unpredictable, publicity-driven, circus-like spectacle for months now.
The Donald toyed with running for president earlier this year and ran his mouth about Barack Obama's birth certificate until he was blue in the face. He ultimately declined against getting into the race and has not endorsed a candidate.
The debate, which will not be limited to a specific topic like national security or the economy, is set to happen just a week before the Iowa caucuses, and will be called the Newsmax Ion Television 2012 Presidential Debate.
Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman have already declined invitations to participate, with the former bashing the event as beneath the office of the presidency. Herman Cain dropped out of the race yesterday, so he won't be there either.
Emily Maynard: Dating Ex of Vienna Girardi?!
Gotta love The Bachelorette rumor mill.
With Emily Maynard and Jeremy Shockey apparently no longer together, and Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl splitting up, Emily and Kasey must be an item, right?
Of course, if you believe In Touch Weekly ... which proclaims Emily is now dating Vienna's ex. They could mean a different ex, too, of course. Girlfriend gets around.
Whoever it is she's dating ... she's not. No way she would want Kasey or anyone tied to Vienna guarding and protecting anything. Emily also denied it on Twitter.
Just listen to the North Carolina cutie herself:
Emily Maynard: "Seriously? You'd think that with all the guys the mags say I'm dating I'd have some help with my Xmas lights! #stillnottrue #stillsingle."
Now that's hard to believe. Emily can't get help with her Christmas lights? Do you realize how hot this woman is? What is wrong with the men of Charlotte?
We've been hearing rumblings that, following her breakup with Brad Womack, her quest for love may continue as the star of The Bachelorette next year.
Repeat, that's just a rumor. Unlike In Touch, we'll call celebrity gossip what it is and not label it as fact. But we hear they are trying to woo Emily again.
The sticking point? Her daughter Ricki. As a single mom, we don't see it happening, but will they come up with a better catch among Ben Flajnik castoffs?
Herman Cain Suspends Presidential Campaign
In the wake of both sexual harassment and infidelity allegations, Republication Presidential nominee Herman Cain suspended his campaign this afternoon, effectively ending his bid for the White House in 2012.
"As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign," Cain said at an Atlanta rally, vowing that "I am not going to be silenced and I am not going away."
Cain cited the "continued distraction" of chatter over Ginger White's claim that she carried on a 13-year affair - during which Cain supposedly showered her with gifts and financial help - with the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza as the basis for his decision.
Mindy McCready and Son: Found in Arkansas
One of the stranger stories of 2011 has come to a safer end than many had feared: country singer Mindy McCready and her five-year old son were found yesterday in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
The troubled artist - who is pregnant with twins - had openly refused this week to return five-year old Zander to the care of her mother in Florida, claiming she was set on protecting the child, even if it resulted in jail time.
But David Rahbany, the chief deputy U.S. Marshal in eastern Arkansas, tells CNN McCready and her son were discovered late last night, hiding in the closet of someone presumed to be Mindy's boyfriend.
"The child appeared to be in good condition when we found him," Rahbany said.
Zander is in the custody of the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services and arrangements are being made to send him back to his maternal grandmother.
"We feel sorrow for Zander because he's traumatized, and for Mindy," the latter's mother and stepfather said in a statement. "We just hope she does the right thing from here on out and that this is a wake-up call for her."
