Justin Bieber has placed a giant lump of coal inside the stocking of Beliebers everywhere:

He announced his retirement on Twitter last night.

"My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring," the singer wrote. "The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you. Being a belieber is a lifestyle."

Justin made this same retirement mention during a radio interview last week. Twitter blew up in response with one side celebrating and the other side wondering how to go on living.

Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes will not be kissing under any mistletoe this holiday season.

The young couple has broken up.

Grande and Sykes confirmed their relationship in September, but now insiders confirm the opposite to Us Weekly.

"They just weren't into it anymore," according to a source, not assigning blame to either 20-year old.

Britney Spears loves sex, but she feels like an old lady in the bedroom sometimes, or so the singer claims in her new documentary, "I Am Britney Jean."

A sexual dynamo who used every ounce of appeal in her arsenal to sell 50 million records, Britney's still got it nowadays ... even if she's not feelin' it.

Spears confessed her love of boning in "I Am Britney Jean," saying, "I love sex. I think sex is great ... but I feel a little different about it now that I'm older."

It's an interesting statement, considering Britney has been outspoken about wanting to tone it down, despite admitting "a lot of sex goes into what I do."

Demi Lovato performed Friday night as part of Miami's Y100 Jingle Ball, and then stopped backstage for an interview with the radio station.

The young superstar talked in the Q&A about crazy celebrity gossip stories, "moving on" from The X Factor and whether or not any celebrities out there need plastic surgery.

"I shouldn't even think this," Lovato replied to that question. "It should be me! I should get a boob job. They're like mosquito bites."

Plus-size models and modeling have gained a lot of traction in 2013, as they a purpose beyond marketing plus-size clothing to a growing market.

They also provide women with a more diverse range of bodies to look up to, which potentially improves self-confidence, body image and social norms.

The image, created by artist bakalia, won a contest called "Feeding Time 9."

But when re-posted last week by Plus-Size-Modeling (dot) com, the depiction of Barbie with a double chin and a curvier physique sparked debate.

Over 35,000 people have "liked" it, but many criticize it, asking whether society should be praising being overweight any more than being too skinny.

Surprise, surprise. Brandi Glanville is feuding with yet another housewife. This time it's co-star Joyce Giraud, who she tore into on Facebook Sunday.

Brandi Glanville lamented the damage done to her family, allegedly, as Joyce "sits a top her mansion with her giant diamond ring and zero worries."

"As a single mother supporting my two little boys and running a household by myself, I hope Joyce feels really really good about what she is doing."

On last night's episode of their reality show (watch The Real Housewives of the Beverly Hills online), the Bravo star claims Giraud labels her "a racist."

It's reportedly all good again between Ashley Benson and Ryan Good.

The couple, who dated for about a year before splitting March, were spotted on Friday at the Boom Boom Room in New York City, celebrating Benson's 24th birthday and sharing more than just the dance floor.

"Ryan and Ashley were kissing each other all night," an onlooker tells Us Weekly.

Since breaking up with Good (previously known as the "swagger coach" for Justin Bieber), Benson has been rumored to have dated Spring Breakers costar James Franco.

In a sign of how far the gay rights movement has come, Pope Francis has been named 2013 Person of the Year by The Advocate, a prominent LGBT magazine.

"While 2013 will be remembered for the work of hundreds in advancing marriage equality," The Advocate wrote, "it will also be remembered for the example of one man."

Pope Francis, who has single-handedly sought to unite, rather than divide the Catholic Church and all of humanity, was named Time Person of the Year as well.

The Pontiff has not supported gay marriage, but he has called for the end of the church's "obsession" with gays and abortion and said he does not judge gay people.

That, symbolically, put the finishing touch on 2013, The Year of Gay Marriage.

From statehouses to the Supreme Court, and from shifting public opinion to politicians' "evolutions," the year saw many milestones. The Pope certainly wasn't alone.

After all, 2013 likely would not have happened were it not for 2012, when President Barack Obama finally embraced same-sex marriage and went on to win reelection.

The adorable little cutie was born last spring and unveiled by Beth DeCaprio of Northern California's Grace Foundation, a rehabilitation ranch for animals.

Veterinarians had their doubts the preemie would survive but, a year later, she's thriving! Weighing a whole three pounds! All together now ... AWW.

"She survived death three times," said DeCaptio. "We were able to revive her. She's really just a miracle pup. Imagine what she can do in her second year."

By that, she means her "ambassadog" status. She's become the poster dog for encouraging spaying and neutering while not euthanizing animals.

Joan Rivers is continuing her assault against Adele.

About a month after going off on the singer to David Letterman ("What is her song? Rolling in the deep?" Rivers asked. "She should add fried chicken!"), the comedian told HuffPost Live that she was not being "mean" to the artist.

"She's a chubby lady who's very, very rich, and she should just calm down - or lose weight!" Rivers said, adding:

"She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her ass. I said, 'You are not fat.' And then I had room for a lot of other ads. Adele is beautiful and successful and has what, $100 million? Let's face reality: she's fat!"

So stated Lindsay Lohan this morning in a stunning turn of events, as the troubled star copped to being a total mess and vowed to turn things around.

She also promised that she will check into rehab immediately and will not return to work (or whatever it is that she does) until early 2014 at the earliest.

Lohan said her mentality has been to "deny, deny, deny" when it comes to getting into trouble with the law, or when it comes to personal issues.

Looks like Chris Brown and Rihanna have broken up. Again.

According to Los Angeles radio station Power 106, the R&B star revealed that he and RiRi have split again after rekindling their controversial romance.

Host Big Boy reportedly brought up the topic last Friday.

"Are you still with Rihanna?" Big Boy asked Brown.

His response: "Uh, no. That's the short answer."

The radio station tweeted that quote, then defended it against critics claiming it to be idle gossip, stating, "We wouldn't have tweeted it if it wasn't true."

Devin Velez was eliminated from American Idol last week.

But the finalist hasn't exactly gone away quietly.

Following his ousting, Velez was asked about judge Nicki Minaj's harsh critique of his Thursday night group performance, saying she "went crazy" and needed to "calm down" and added:

"She could have been upset because the night before she was wearing the same colored dress as Mariah,se.'"

Minaj did not take kindly to this biting comment, going off on Devin via Twitter in response.

At least Omarosa has more time to focus on suing La Toya Jackson now.
